These drives are ideal for applications that require speed, torque, and/or position control.

PowerFlex® Low-Voltage AC Drives

Stay connected to your operations so you can improve productivity with this flexible family of products. PowerFlex® Compact-class AC Drives deliver a simple and cost-effective solution for standalone machine-level control applications or simple system integration. Optimize panel space with this easy-to-use, general-purpose class of drives. Below you'll find some of our most popular compact AC drives from Rockwell Automation.

The PowerFlex® compact low-voltage AC drives are a versatile class that uses minimal space while meeting a number of purposes, including standalone and integrated setups. The PowerFlex® 523, PowerFlex® 525 and PowerFlex® 527 AC drives in particular are popular, cost-effective models with a wide variety of applications.

PowerFlex® 523 AC Drives

PowerFlex® 523 AC Drives are cost-effective and ideal for standalone machines. Installation and configuration are quick and easy, thanks to the modular design. These drives also offer USB programming, application-specific configuration, and flexible mounting options. PowerFlex® 523 AC drives offer a power rating of 0.2...22 kW (0.25...30 Hp) with global voltage classes of 100...600V. In addition to supporting a wide range of motor control, these drives offer a compact footprint and operate at temperatures as high as 70 °C (158 °F).

PowerFlex® 525 AC Drives

Another great modular option for fast and easy installation and configuration is the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex® 525 line of AC Drives. This next generation of compact drives offers embedded EtherNet/IP™ communications, USB programming, and standard safety features. PowerFlex® 525 drives provide a variety of motor control and flexible mounting options. They offer a power rating of 0.4...22 kW (0.5...30 Hp) with global voltage classes of 100...600V. PowerFlex® 525 AC drives operate at temperatures as high as 70 °C (158 °F), and they are ideal for applications such as conveyors, fans, pumps, and mixers.

PowerFlex® 527 AC Drives

PowerFlex® 527 AC Drives are designed to work exclusively with our Logix Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs). The drive is thus able to leverage the capabilities of the controller and use Studio 5000 Logix Designer™ to help simplify machine development and use. This streamlined approach uses motion instructions that are shared by PowerFlex® 527 AC drives and Kinetix® servo drives. That means with both types of drives, you get the same user experience for configuration, programming, and control.

Industrial Motors

Rockwell Automation offers a variety of Allen-Bradley motors that are designed for optimum performance and service life. The industrial motors we carry withstand exceptional conditions, such as the extreme thermal and electrical demands of low-speed, high-torque applications. Rockwell offers general-purpose and vector motors with NEMA Premium Efficient designs and optimum variable speed performance and service life. We also carry durable motors for use in harsh environments.

General Purpose
Motors

General Purpose Motors are ideal for non-severe environments. These motors are available in a wide range of enclosures, including TENV, TEFC, ODP, and DPG, and power ranges from fractional to 400 Hp. These motors can be used with a variable frequency drive or across the line for most non-extreme applications.

Harsh Environment
Motors

Harsh environment motors are built to withstand challenges, such as water and food processing applications. TENV and TEFC enclosure ratings are available across a wide range of horsepower from fractional to 350 hp. These motors can be used with a variable frequency drive or across the line.

Vector Control
Motors

Vector control variable speed motors are built specifically for inverter and vector duty applications with constant torque capability to zero speed. Multiple enclosure ratings and horsepower ranging from ¼ to 1000 hp are available. These motors are used with variable frequency drives only.
